Develop your photography skills in the field at stunning locations around Gerringong, to enhance the knowledge you learnt in my studio course.

  • We will explore exposure options and explain which settings to use achieve correct exposure.
  • I will introduce you to graduated filters to control extremes of light at sunrise.
  • The choice of lens angles will be explained and how it is important to control perspective and point of view.
  • Discuss advanced focus options to ensure pin sharp images
  • Explain the elements of a good composition

Kiama

I introduce you to night photography and the skills needed to take award winning photos. We will visit various sites around Kiama; each requiring different considerations to achieve outstanding images.

Learn:

  • How to determine correct low light exposure settings.
  • Tips & tricks to achieve great light trails, and long exposures shots
  • How to obtain the correct focus settings under low light conditions
  • Which factors are important when planning a night shoot ie. location choice, sun and weather considerations.

MORNING

PHOTOGRAPHY FIELD WORKSHOPS

Greenwell Point  

Apply the knowledge gained from my Photography Course to photograph landscapes and seascapes.

Participants will:

  • Experiment with different shutter speeds and apertures to control the desired point of view.
  • Be shown how to use and adjust circular polarizing filters to enhance colour and detail.
  • Use different camera heights and positions to control foreground elements.
  • Discuss planning and location choice, and other image impact factors such as sun and weather.

Cost $ 95 pp., 3hour session; $150 for 2 pp
