About - Denis Cale Photography

I was introduced to photography by my Dad in the 50’s when he brought me a Kodak Baby Brownie.  My Dad specialized in portraiture and weddings, meticulously hand colouring the black and white images.

Since that day photography has  been a major part of my life .  In my teens I used Dad’s Voigtlander cameras and in my 20’s I purchased the first of my Minolta outfits. When the digital age arrived I started my Nikon collection. Today I have a Nikon D750 with a collection of prime, zoom , and macro lenses, Flashes and many accessories.

Throughout my working life, I have enjoyed sharing my photographic knowledge as a lecturer at Tertiary colleges, High schools, and Community colleges.

I retired in 2004, and in 2009 started My One-on-One Photography Courses and Photography Field Workshops .

Since 2009 I have been actively involved with the Shoalhaven Photographic Club and a Photography Judge for the Fedration of Camera Clubs NSW.

Since 2012, I have taken members of local photographic clubs away to various destinations each year. These annual photographic trips are open to all financial photographic club members.

Past locations are the Red Centre, Flinders Ranges, Victorian High Country, Mungo National Park, South Coast Beaches, Broken Hill and Menindee Lakes, Mayfield Gardens, Western Victoria and Outback Queensland.
